Photo of the Day - Sixty One

For once I parked my car and actually took a stroll through town.  I had to.  Driving through the little town of Strafford, Vermont there were just too many photogenic things for me to pass up.  Rather than parking and stopping and parking and stopping I decided to brave the ten degree temperatures and freshly fallen snow to explore the little town.  I could really feel the nineteenth century as I walked along the side streets.  In the half an hour I spent strolling the roads maybe two cars drove by.  That kind of solitude is something you don't want to take for granted.

This house caught my eye.  So perfectly decorated and caught in time.  I stood in the middle of the town green to capture this photo and of course added a little texture to give it an antique-like feel.  I'm thinking ahead for Christmas cards next year, despite not having mailed my yet this year (this week I promise).

Looking back at the original I am amazed at how it's been transformed...

Lots of editing, erasing, lightening, and fun!

Are you in the Christmas spirit yet?
