Photo of the Day - Fifty Four

This is an HDR image of five images of varying exposure merged together.

We were suppose to be house hunting when we stumbled across this location.  I came back with my camera and traveled down the railroad tracks off a small back road to capture this photo.  The light was perfect and the time of day, late afternoon, couldn't have been better.  The foliage is still barely hanging on in that area which made the scene that much more perfect.

  1. I think this would be a perfect place to live (there there were any houses for sale near by); that would be a lovely view every day!

  2. This is lovely. What I love about HDR with water is the movement in it. You've captured a beautiful scene with lovely details.

  3. Nice photo! I'd love to see one or all of the SOOC (straight out of the camera) shots to compare the before and after. It's fascinating to "watch" the transformation from the non-processed originals to the final HDR photo. It's also something that people can learn from. I know I sometimes tend to digitally overprocess my photos and am always looking for the right balance. You seem to have found that balance.

  4. Hi! I came across your blog and beautiful photography not too long ago. I'm really enjoying it. You've got quite an eye for capturing the perfect shot. I must say the part of the country you live in doesn't hurt either. It's absolutely gorgeous! Thangs ain't quite that purty in my part of Texas. lol
