Photo of the Day - Twenty Seven

I happened upon an old cemetery in Calais, Vermont.  It was overgrown with faded green tufts of grass that swayed in the wind.  There were two small headstones in a family plot. Both with a small American flag on either side representing their service to our country generations ago.  I know that the 4th of July has passed, Memorial Day was months ago, and Veterans Day is several away, but I don't think that matters.

    this photo gave me reason to pause and reflect for a moment during my rush to get through all my morning "visits". lovely. haunting. thoughtful.

    Beautiful. It looks like every day is Memorial Day and Veterans Day in this place.
