Photo of the Day - Eleven

So that is what they mean by "Robins Egg Blue"

Macro Lens.   Focal Length 55mm.  ISO 2000.  1/200.  f/2.5

Every year we have a robin the prefers to build it's nest on the logs that form the corner of our house.  I've tried everything to move the nest, even physically moving it.  The momma bird seems to not care and prefers to be driven insane by us grilling and relaxing on the deck.  She retaliates by attempting to dive bomb us and loudly squawk  at us from a nearby tree branch.  Normally she lays 3-4 eggs, but there year is only one.  I'm rooting for this little guy... annoying mother and all.

  6. We have birds building nest under the overhang of our roof too. It's quite startling when you walk by, lost in your thoughts, and all of a sudden this bird comes flying out from under the roof in such a flurry of activity.
